About Lisa

Hello, my name is Lisa and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Master of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas in 1995 with an emphasis

in community-based counseling. I have 29 years of combined experience in outpatient mental health, residential treatment, inpatient acute hospitalizations, and school based

mental health treatment.

I am certified in TF-CBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy). I utilize CBT and DBT techniques along with some Adlerian, person centered and behavioral therapy techniques to help clients understand not only where they are currently but what direction they would want to move while focusing on individual goals. I want my clients to move toward a healthier coping strategy in a nonjudgemental therapeutic relationship. My approach is compassionate, and client centered with individualized techniques and goal setting.

I’m especially passionate in addressing trauma, eating disorders, PTSD, anxiety disorders/OCD, depressive disorders, conflict issues and self-worth concerns. I enjoy working with adolescents, students, and adults (women and men) to help promote a more holistic wellness.

I am available for teletherapy sessions and offer weekend in-person sessions on a limited basis.
