About Caitlin
Hi! My name is Caitlin and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor. I’m from Texas, where I received my Master of Art degree in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University. I have years of experience in inpatient, intensive outpatient, school based, and office-based settings.
I work from a primarily person-centered lens, but also incorporate Adlerian, ACT, CBT, and mindfulness work. I enjoy incorporating expressive arts techniques and outdoor sessions. Sometimes we can process better through music, art, or being out in nature when we can’t find the words to describe how we feel.
I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults through a trauma-informed, compassionate approach and believe that the most important part of therapy is the relationship between counselor and client. My counseling style is warm, caring, and encouraging. I’m here to work alongside you to gain insight, improve coping skills, and achieve goals that we will set together. Common presenting issues I work with include anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, navigating life transitions, and self-esteem.
I enjoy working with clients face-to-face but am happy to offer virtual sessions as needed for flexibility.
In my free time, you can find me at a local coffee shop, farmers market, or at the park with my son. I love to travel, whether it’s a short weekend trip away or exploring a tropical beach somewhere. I also enjoy cooking and baking- I’m always in search of new recipes to try out!
