Jason Arsaga
Counseling Intern

About Jason

Hi, I'm Jason. Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself.

I believe counseling is a collaborative relationship where you can safely explore who you are, increase self-awareness, and create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

I am a counseling intern completing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Arkansas. I also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Indiana University. My approach is grounded in relational Gestalt and neuroscience-informed principles, recognizing that our experiences, relationships, and nervous systems all influence how we move through the world.

I enjoy working with adults, couples, and groups from all relationship orientations and structures. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen your relationships, and help you move toward a healthier, more connected life. I have also completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Brainspotting, a somatic approach for processing stress and trauma.

Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy swimming, cooking, DIY home projects, playing the drums, tending to my houseplants (my favorite right now is a sundew or "Drosera capillaris"), and trying to keep my chickens alive.

I offer in-person counseling in Fayetteville and virtual sessions to clients across Arkansas for individuals, couples, and groups at a free or reduced rate. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you.
